DIA wasted our tax dollars on a supposed UFO research program vaguely described as AATIP

DIA wasted our tax dollars on a supposed UFO research program vaguely known as Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program, now defunct  (from 2007 to 2012).

According to the Federation of American Scientists  (FAS):

The Defense Intelligence Agency disclosed on the week of January 14, 2019 that it had funded research on warp drive, invisibility cloaking, and other areas of fringe or speculative science and engineering as part of a now-defunct program to track and identify threats from space.

From 2007 to 2012, the DIA spent $22 million of our hard-earned tax dollars on the activity, formally known as the Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program.  (This vague program, paid for by our tax dollars, supposedly dealt with Russian or Chinese or any other “external” threat and allegedly even including “extraterrestrial” UFOs).  Sure, in the grand scheme of things, $22 million is nothing – – just peanuts.  But it was our money.

It was apparently initiated at the behest of then-Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid  (a UFO believer)  with most of the funding directed to a Nevada constituent of his, eccentric UFO proponent Robert Bigelow and his BIGELOW AEROSPACE Company.

After spending $22 million of our hard-earned tax dollars, all we get is another “vintage” fuzzy video of a fuzzy object  (which could have been anything),  with no conclusive evidence of anything.  In a shameless attempt to help Tom DeLonge’s TO THE STARS ACADEMY, the New York Times released a couple of meaningless videos.  They’re being paraded by UFO “elites” like George Tsukalous, George Knapp and Nick Pope and even by a former DIA employee Luis Elizondo, now a supporter of Tom DeLonge.  They’re all claiming they’re evidence of aliens.  We should call it a theft of our hard-earned tax dollars, giving our money to a private firm run by eccentric billionaire and UFO believer, Robert Bigelow.

By the way, the DIA released a list of 38 RESEARCH TITLES funded by the program, many of which are highly conjectural and well beyond the boundaries of current science, engineering – –  or military intelligence.

According to the Federation of American Scientists  (whom I trust more than any UFO organization)  THE 38 RESEARCH TITLES funded by the program, are only highly conjectural and well beyond the boundaries of current science, engineering – – or military intelligence.  And again, let’s not assume they were about “extraterrestrial” UFOs.

The DIA list of research papers, marked for Official Use Only, was previously provided to Congress in January 2018.  It was publicly released on January 16 under the Freedom of Information Act.

The reason I posted this item is not because this item proves that we are possibly being visited by physical aliens in physical alien spacecraft of some kind.   In fact, it doesn’t, at all.

The reason I posted this item is because I support the efforts of the Federation of American Scientists  (FAS), the largest citizens’ watchdog agency on Government Accountability.

We have a right to know what is going on, especially when our hard-earned tax dollars are involved in certain governmental projects, such as this vaguely described, wasteful  program mentioned above.

Thank God it is now a defunct program.
